Surf: From Ocean Grove to Avon, concentrated jetties can provide hollow waves. Fickle, shifting sandbars are usually smaller than breaks south of here, but it copes well with a moderate swell. Environment: The jetties break up the drift and paddle-outs are easier, so good for all abilities. Favoured hang out for local longboarders who cut your wave count appreciably. Surf: General: Bradley, like most towns in Monmouth County, has a host of jetties that can handle, and shape up nicely, a variety of swell. The 3rd Avenue surfing beach is a good hit. And Brimley Avenue can take an E swell, so, when everywhere else is closing out, Brimley is the call. Bradley Beach is just another quiet coastal enclave in North Jersey that will never have the best surf in the state, but will always have something to offer, especially in the fall, winter and spring. Tides: Low-mid generally best Size: Waist high-well overhead Wind: W Swell: S, SSE, SE Bottom: Sand Paddling: Mostly doable, can be tough on big days. Spot Rating: Fun on the right day.
