Surf: Coogee is probably the worst beachbreak in the Eastern Suburbs, suffering from deeper water, shadowing from Wedding Cake Island and a general lack of any consistent shape. Improves in bigger swells when the local outside reefs can start to deliver. Environment: The shoredump makes Coogee less than ideal for beginners.
