Surf: The most consistent of the city beaches is Maroubra, which will have a wave in all swell directions from NE-S and the headlands provide a bit of protection from N or S winds. Lefts at the north end in a summer NE swell, peaks through the middle in any swell and rarer rights at the southern end reef. Environment: Poor water quality and manners regularly blight this line-up.
