Cliffs surf guide

Surf: Below the Diamond Head Rd lookouts, Cliffs is a scattering of 5-6 reefs and channels with consistently long walls that absorb the crowds of surfers and kites. Picks up S and E swell, so it’s messy in trades, but it can be classic on N or glassy days and is often the biggest South shore spot. Long, ripable walls for improvers plus, with less crowds at the mushier breaks off the side of the main peak. Environment: Some rips but not too shallow, with a good paddle out channel from the beach that disappears when it gets bigger.
