Hobson County Park is a surf spot located just off the old Pacific Coast Highway, south of Seacliff. Known for its naturally beautiful environment, this spot used to be called Four Palms, and while it may not be the most famous break around, it still attracts a decent crowd, especially on good days. There's a small campground nearby, making it a convenient spot to stay if you plan on catching some waves.

The surf here can be fun, especially with a south swell, although it's generally better with the winter juice. You can expect some long, fast lefts off the north peak and sectiony mushy rights off the south peak. The waves tend to break over boulders and sand and are good for most skill levels, especially beginners. The optimal swell direction is from the southwest, but it can also work with northwesterly and southerly swells. The spot handles swells as small as 1 ft (0.3 m) and is best enjoyed on low to mid tide. If the wind is blowing in from the northeast, that’s usually a good sign for cleaner conditions.

While Hobson County Park is known for its fun cobblestone reef peaks, keep in mind that it can fill up with surfers, especially during peak times.
