Le VVF surf guide
Surf: As the last jetty recedes, a Lande-esque feeling returns to this half-kilometre of sand as sucky peaks or long, lined-up walls hit a variety of banks from the popular short jetty peak to the left in front of the crumbling cliffs below the lighthouse. All tides, all swell sizes up to 3m and it is nicely protected from all S winds.
Environment: Road above the beach allows for quick checks then park (hopefully) at either end of the Promenade de la Chambre d'Amour or along Promenade des Sources behind the brutal buildings of the VVF Belambra. Consistent and crowded in the 9 range. Beware the semi-submerged bunker at low tide.
