Surf: A.k.a. Power Plant, The River, Ray Bay, Seal Beach Jetty. Soft, fun sandbar peak between the jetties, right in the rivermouth. Needs peaky S-SW swells and lower tides. Can’t handle any real size. The neighboring peak off the south jetty is Crabs, a small righthand sandbar wave. Beware of numerous sand sharks and stingrays (step lightly). Directions: Access is at the south end of Ocean Avenue in Seal Beach. Environment: Water is warmer here than at surrounding spots, so consider increased likelihood of pollution after rain.
